Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
We are fully committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all areas of our Trust community to strengthen a sense of belonging. For all students, their families, staff in schools and our central teams, as well as in governance, we consciously seek to improve awareness of and embed the very best deliberate EDI practices.
We do this not only because as a trust we seek what is good, right and true but because we celebrate the breadth and depth of our rich cultures and know we are better for inclusive diversity.
We are consciously aware of all protected characteristics but we extend more widely than this to include:
- Age
- Gender identity
- Sex
- Marital status
- Being pregnant or on parental leave
- Returning parents
- Disability
- Race, ethnicity, nationality and heritage
- Religion and beliefs
- Sexuality
- Socio-economic background
- Carers and care leavers
- Menopause
